Our Story & Leadership
Childraise Foundation Trust Ssembabule (CRAFTS) was founded in 2011 by Mr. Wasike Wilfred to rescue orphaned and vulnerable children through free primary education, hot meals, and community farming.
"We Refused to Watch Children Suffer in Silence."
In 2011, I witnessed orphaned children in Ssembabule wandering without food or schooling. Many had lost parents to illness and poverty. I started CRAFTS in a small rented room with just 12 children.
Through community solidarity and global donors, we expanded to build Childraise School Mbaale and acquired a 12-acre farm. Today, over 260 children receive quality primary education, exercise books, uniforms, healthcare, and warm daily meals.

Foundation Established
Registered as CBO No: SBB/CBO/2011/049, sheltering 12 vulnerable orphans in Ssembabule.
Childraise School Mbaale Built
Constructed primary classrooms from Nursery to P7 with 12 Ugandan certified teachers.
12-Acre Farm Expansion
Acquired 12 acres of farmland to grow maize and beans, guaranteeing free hot lunch for pupils.
